This is a Vintage Metal Cable Reel / Spool / Bobbin With Double Sided Graphics For Ripaults Cables dating to the 1930s/40s.

In pretty good condition, the ferrous metal is slightly rusty, and there are a few blemishes/scratches on the artwork. It would make a nice addition to the garage/workshop for tidying up those lengths of cable that always seem to land on the floor...

A lovely advertising piece, the spool would have been one of several used in the Automotive industry each containing different colours of Ripogloss vehicle electrical wiring / single lighting cable.

This particular spool would have contained ~100 feet of cable.
